Change fee waiver for ticket purchased with MVPGold miles

With so many changes to the program and a call to Alaska that did not answer my question, I thought I'd reach out to this forum. I apologize if this question has been answered recently.
If I purchase a ticket using my MVPG miles for my daughter, are change fees waived for her? Or that does only apply if I'm on the same reservation as her? Thank you!

First Off- sea67. WELCOME to Flyertalk and Alaska Forum!!
I believe that the PNR must have Gold member on it to waive change or cancel fees. I see that on award ticket, change fees are waived.

Change/cancellation fees are waived when using MVPG miles for an award. See screenshot below, found here.

I can verify change fees are waived if you use your gold miles for someone else, done it a bunch.

But for SDC the fee is not waived. I recently booked an award ticket for my friend (who is MVP) with my miles (I'm MVPG), and he got charged $50 for same day confirmed.

Correct - I've had the same experience. It is, however, waived if you're traveling on the same reservation - revenue or award flight.

Clarification question:

Is the cancellation fee waived even if there is a single traveler without status who’s ticket/reservation was obtained using points from An MVP gold or 75k account or does it require that the MVP gold or 75K individual also be on the reservation.

Thanks

In the past, yes. Now? Maybe. This has been discussed in several threads. The wording on the site has changed recently. This is a post from a recent thread that also references other thread discussions.

The wording now says:
As an MVP™ Gold, my change fees are waived. What about for my family?
While anyone traveling with you in the same reservation will have their luggage fees waived, the change fee will apply to all passengers other than the MVP Gold. The exception is if your fellow passengers are booked on an award ticket using your miles; in that case, change fees are waived.”

See the discussion here Policy Question - Change Fee
And in particular, https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/30270476-post3.html and https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/30271252-post4.html

It is a little vague and I’m not sure we have any data points to confirm or deny this change out in the wild yet but it does not seem like it (a change fee waiver on tickets booked with Gold miles) is a sure thing anymore.

Gold/75K doesn't need to be on the reservation in my experience. It sounds like there's been some changes in wording on the terms on the website that could indicate they are doing away with this perk, so best to call to confirm, but unless something's changed, the Gold does not need to be on the reservation for fees to be waived.

Data point: I just cancelled a reservation I had made for my MVP wife with miles out of my Gold account. The Alaska agent returned the miles and refunded the money (BA, so $$$) without hesitation.
