Earning on BA codeshare on JAL

Interesting my BA codeshare on JAL is posted automatically.

But I paid and booked in A class but earn only 75% of distance flown. Contact Twitter, they told me it was posted as A class.

Good news, it can post automatically. Bad news, post incorrectly.

Was it an intra Japan flight? Codeshares have been posted using the operating carrier's chart.

Again, AS has credited from the Domestic JL chart. A Class intra Japan is 75%. A Class international is 100% EQM + 50% COS (also EQM) + 200% Bonus as RDM + any Elite Bonus.

At approximately 5950 miles you should have received over 8,900 EQM and almost 21K RDM before Elite Bonus if applicable.

I would call AS and ask them to adjust the miles per the international JL charts.

Thx. I sent them a tweet.

I didn't know the domestic A class pose as 75%.

It is earning at 475% as 75k. Almost 30000 miles.

I did specify that the totals showns were before any Elite bonus.

Nice to see another data point on codeshare flights crediting automatically, however, with JL having separate charts for domestic and international using the same fare classes, it is posing an issue not only with posting automatically but also with manual credit requests.

I was flying SEZ LHR in A class. At check-in, I gave my AS number, but the boarding pass print BA instead of AS. I thought I would need a manual claim,
turns out it posted correctly for 28000 miles.

A little OT for codeshares:

If BA is anything like AA, when you add another FF# to the itinerary, the Native FF# remains as well. When flying AA internationally, I always ask them to remove my AA FF# from the Itinerary as sometimes with both, it will post to AA anyway.

Yeah, we had another case of this recently. Fortunately the Axis lost, so this mistake should get rectified.

When I made a request this spring to have miles credited by operating carrier chart instead of marketing carrier chart, it took almost a month to get fulfilled.
