Virgin stopped caring about the big white seats at least a year or two before the merger so who should AS all of a sudden care?

Perhaps because nearly 4 years have gone by since AS first expressed interest to VX and AS's yields have gone straight downward on the former VX transcons since then. Management shouldn't complain about the lack of increased revenue in the premium product if the product is falling apart...yet they still seemed baffled by their continuing underperformance.
