Quality of Service on Alaska Regional.

Flying PAE-SNA up front. Boarded on time and offered a welcome drink of orange juice or coffee. Aircraft monitor developed a technical issue, have been onboard for close to an hour now, flight attendant has not come through once to offer any water or refreshments as aircraft gets hotter. Not a regular Alaska flyer, is this a normal level of service?

I would say that the service I've received on Horizon has generally been better than on mainline, but that's in aggregate and there's a lot of overlap.

But, yes, if you are thirsty, if you are at the gate (not on an active taxiway) either go to the galley and ask for water or push the button.

If you are on a taxiway the FAs can only get up if there's an emergency. If you push the button they will probably make an announcement and ask you to push it again if it's an emergency.

QX (Horizon) is always better than OO (Skywest), take glassware over plastic as just one example.

But yes, I often find OO far below mainline AS, and even farther below QX.

My experience is approximately the opposite of NoLaGent's.
I find OO to be chronically fantastic, and QX to be as well.
Mainline AS is also typically quite good.

It would be nice if they proactively offered some drinks, and maybe if enough people ask for them, it will happen.
If you need something, ask for it.
If you require pampering, charter a bizjet.
If you want abuse, fly Allegiant.
Otherwise, everything else falls somewhere in the middle.

Ive always received better service on Horizon. Id call this atypical.

I will take a QX E jet over mainline any day. QX has offered me consistently superior service.
