Free check bag for using Alaska co-braded credit card question
 

Hi Everyone,
If I book a ticket for my mother on AS using AS creditcard but I am not traveling with her, will she get free check bag and priority boarding? thank you

No. The cardholder must be traveling and the cardholder's Mileage Plan number must be in the reservation before checking in.


From the FAQ page:

What if a primary cardholder bought the ticket, but someone else is traveling?
An eligible primary US consumer, Canadian consumer or business cardholder must be traveling, and have their Mileage Plan™ number in the reservation to qualify for the first checked bag free benefit.
