How many times have you been delayed into PAE for flow control?

What's the deepest queue for takeoff you've been in at PAE?
I'll take a 45 minute flow control delay over a "We give up! Guess we'll just fly you into a different airport tomorrow morning!" delay.

I'll take a 20 minute taxi queue over a flight delay so severe it invalidates my travel.

PAE definitely has it's charms and I'm by no means swearing it off. But out of a small sample size, I've missed 3 legs of 8 planned due to cancellation or severe delay.
I have only once, out of ~500 flights into & out of SEA had a flight cancelled and AS was able to get me in an hour later than planned by having me fly into SEA from a nearby alternative airport.
As for significant delays into or out of SEA? Only a handful come to mind (but I could be forgetting old stuff).

I know 8 planned legs is a small sample size, but just sharing my experience. 40% failure rate kinda sucks.

I have a much shallower sample than you, but across 70 AS/QX segments touching SEA I've endured quite a bit of flow control and taxiing delays.
My 9 segments touching PAE have operated on-time.
No cancellations at either airport, yet!

How are PAE flights these days? I'm supposed to fly out of there this week back to PDX. Is there any service in F?

they usually have heated meals etc, just like SEA, but there are times the planes don't get catered, then they give you a free snack pack

Wait sea/pae-pdx have meals in F now? That’s a 40 min flight.

Meals? Uh, on mainline PDX-SEA you don't even get beverage service in First which seems odd since all passengers on the Q400 flights get water or OJ (and maybe coffee).

To answer my own question, having flown PDX-PAE-PDX in F this week, the FA takes drink orders pre-departure and then quickly serves them while in the air. No snack. But better than expected since those in the back don't get any service whatsoever. In any case, this is academic since PDX-PAE goes away at the end of the month.

Used it for my first time yesterday, wow what a pleasant experience. While it's a longer and more expensive ride from downtown, everything else about it was wonderful. I was through security in a couple of minutes and the whole gate area felt like a lounge. My only complaint was the coffee bar didn't open until 6

The 6:45 AM to SFO had a load factor of 9/12 in F (at least one deadhead) and 56 in Y.

Only complaint you will have is getting your baggage within the 20 min time limit, so don't fly out of PAE if you want the bonus. Otherwise, it is a pleasure to fly out compared to SEATAC's chaos.

Are there car rentals at the actual airport terminal or do you still have to shuttle?

Still by shuttle, but most places are less than 10 minutes.
