Million Miler Qualification for GOLD 75?
Just wondering if anyone else has ever thought about the possibility of ALASKA AIRLINES lowering the GOLD 75 qualification requirement to, say, 40,000 miles for million milers?

Also, I would like free ice cream, a pony, and a 21 gun salute every time when I board an Alaska aircraft. Plus a guaranteed upgrade to F.
What, too much? You're saying they might not want to give free stuff away? What, they just took away a bunch of elite benefits on low fares and might not be inclined to discourage people from spending to get 75K?

I will settle for getting hot food served to MMs seated in the back of the plane (my own private stash of hot pockets (TM) with a cloth napkin from F), but that isn't ever going to happen.
Why shouldn't MM who want 75K perks not fly the 75K like the rest of us?
Lala who is at 99.75% of the way to MM and not counting (really), okay maybe.

No one is being a jerk.
The answer to your question is (1) no, (2) it's common on FT for people to want the qualification levels to exactly match their patterns (but no less!) to the point that it's become a running joke, and, of course, (3) welcome to flyertalk.

another welcome ... for many around the AS board, a sense of humor and an appreciation of well-wielded sarcasm are everyday necessities
