AS policy change on Best Fare Guarantee
I missed this announcement, but I called in today to get a wallet credit for 3 different bookings that I noticed had dropped in price. The phone agent said the policy changed in October and they don't reprice to the new fare any longer.
Yet another negative policy change. I actually used this all the time. This plus the 60 day free change were differentiators which caused me to maintain loyalty. Going forward I guess I'll be a free agent and buy on price only. Just a rant - Sadly south of expected. |
Hi -
If you are Gold, just cancel, have it sent to your wallet and rebook. I agree it is a PITA, but effective. |

Looks like the policy was changed for tickets purchased after Aug 31st. Their current guarantee is similar to other legacies where claim must be made within 24 hours and you must compare price to other travels sites and everything must match (including booking class).
