Meal description (if given): Snack

Flight time was 1:24 today from SFO to PDX. Was upgraded last minute on this flight from 17A to 1C. PDB was offered, anything that we wanted probably since it was an Airbus A320 and the first class flight attendant only had to look after 8 passengers.

While airborne, the flight attendant came around and took more drink orders.

Food was only a snack basket with Sea Salt PopChips, bananas, Kind bars, and fruit/cashew mix.

same selections as gold10829 described above, with granola instead of the bread ... I pre-ordered the hash after my upgrade cleared; it was one of the best airline breakfasts I’ve ever had

Have these been featured before? Anyone have photos?
I also have these options on an upcoming SFO-EWR flight. Anyone have a recommendation?

Choices for FLL/LAX are:

- Caprese Omelet - cage free eggs folded around a filling of ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil pesto. Served with thick-cut applewood smoked bacon and a crisp potato cake
- Corn and Bacon Hash - roasted corn, diced applewood smoked bacon, and herb roasted fingerling potatoes topped with a poached cage-free egg. Garnished with crumbled feta cheese and a fresh herb salsa verde.
- Fruit & cheese plate

AS838, HNL-OAK, 6/23. Beef tenderloin. Nothing tender about it. One bite of gristle and done.

6:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Breakfast - Menus: Yes

In-flight meal post alert!

Very good flight so far - the crew is fun and energetic. WiFi makes the flight go so fast. I pre-ordered the Corn and Bacon Hash - it was a good choice.

Strawberry Guava Mango Smoothie to start - nice and tart with some interesting flavors. Also on the tray was Greek yogurt with granola and cherry-ginger compote. Also very tasty with great cherry flavor. The roll had a nice, cinnamon taste.

The hash was quite good - most noteworthy was the perfectly-poached egg. I can't get them to come out like that at home! The bacon got a bit lost in the mix but was there. About two hours later the snack basket (Kind Bars, jerky, nut mix, bananas) came around. Drinks were topped up all flight. A good trip today.

Meal Description: Breakfast Choice of Greek Yogurt Frittata or Heirloom Tomato Shakshuka

Omitting a photo of the starter - Granola and Yogurt or Mango Guava smoothie, as it has been featured in a previous post. The egg was perfectly poached, a little runny after I broke into the yolk. chicken chorizo had a good spiciness which was a good counterpoint to the avocado and sweet tomato stew.

Lunch

No PDB but water at each seat. Hot towel, warm nuts, chicken sandwich with mozzarella and tomato, very good.

Usually a United flyer where lunch also includes salad, bread and dessert, although on United this shorter flight would only be coded as "snack". So a pretty filling meal for the short 2 hour flight.

FA was great throughout!

Nice view on the way to Seattle!

GREAT post. Love the pics. We all love it when the mountain is out. One of my favorite things when flying to LAX is the views during the summer.

AS 372 PDX - BWI on 6/25

Was too busy working, so forgot to take a picture of the frittata. Already preordered for my next flight on 6/30, so will try to snap pics then. It kind of reminded me of a quiche. Overall, a tasty breakfast and Im looking forward to having it again next week
