Row 1 -> 2?

Tangential topic but from reading this forum - the common pitfalls I see for various F seats are:
1. Row 1 - chatty flight attendants, no storage, bathroom queue
2. Row 2 - popular row for seat reassignments by FAM
3. Row 3 - Y class bathroom queue for 800
4. Row 4 - risk of losing F seat if plane is changed from 900 -> 800
The only data missing to make an informed decision is the probability of each scenario happening.
I’m just going to stick with my original row 1 selection lol.

Definitely a matter of preference, but I generally prefer row 2 because I like access to my carry on all flight long. I like the window, but unless traveling with a companion, I like to be free to get up whenever I want, so 2 C/D is my preference. Ideally C so better odds for first choice of entree. But agree, the space in 1 is better to get aisle access without disturbing your neighbor, and can't think of a time I've ever had issues finding overhead bag space (maybe back a row, but it's F so not a big deal) in First.

Row 2 window myself...
Row 1 is my last choice due to lack of legroom, even with reconfiguration.

If you have long legs they are a factor when you are sitting, not when you are standing.

When in F, Row 2, window (if I have a choice) -- but Row 1 in the 3-row F cabin is also good for me. And, with pre-booking of meals on the long-haul flights to/from DCA, Row 3 doesn't present the problem of running out of my meal choice.

If a 737-800 and a long-ish flight, I prefer 1A/F since I don't have to bother anyone getting out and I can easily stretch my legs. On a 737-900, I avoid row 1 since it's much closer to the bulkhead.
Short flights on the 738 and all flights on the 739 I prefer row 2 primarily for meal choice. Aisle seats have more underseat storage, too.
