currently on N275AK (AS617, LAX-SEA) ... the captain announced that the inbound crew had written up the WiFi as inop, so nobody should be surprised if they dont have connectivity at FL370; however, its been behaving fine for the past hour or so

Unless something changed, the first two tails to have the 2Ku satellite wifi are the two "More to Love" A321s.

N926VA appears to have been at BGR for at least the past week, and scheduled to fly on AS9565 to MIA tomorrow morning. N927VA flew AS9535 MIA-SFO 4/22, possibly on the same routing?

ETA: today is showing an additional leg XFW-BGR with the same AS9565 flight number.

They apparently initially placed it over the F meal pre-order functionality device.

First flight with the new satellite WiFi today on AS792 SEA - DTW tail N292AK. Much faster than the old cellular system. Still not as fast as home WiFi or LTE but a big improvement.

Over water?

This will work on Hawaii routes?!👍🏼
Whats the expected full rollout date? It could be a nice competitive edge for the Hawaii market.

Yes, and to Mexico as well. Published completion for the entire fleet is by end of 2020.

A couple weeks ago, I got an email the morning of my flight that the internet would not be working as the aircraft was new from the factory and the internet was not set up yet, but entertainment would work. (This was a 737-900/ER). When on the plane I noticed the WiFi name was Alaska_WiFi instead of GoGo. I guess it was prepped to take the new internet soon:

Per the page above:
  1. Turn on your device's Wi-Fi, and choose the Alaska_WiFi network.
So, I guess that is a clue you have the new WiFi system?

Thanks for the heads up! What was the cost structure like?

I have an AS GoGo monthly pass and I'm curious how that would play with Satellite Wi-Fi.

It won't be an edge for the US48-Hawaii market. All of the 757s, 753s, and 767s that Delta flies to Hawaii (and that's everything, as of ~2 weeks ago) have sat wifi today.
