EQM for BA F Award*****

So I just flew BA F on a 70k award. Just reviewed my mileage plan account and I was awarded status miles and almost 25k bonus miles!!! Reducing the award cost for BA F to only 40k miles. I'm sure it was a glitch and they will fix it. I'll call AS today.

I guess my sarcasm was muted. My initial instinct was to let the OP know that bragging here was not a good idea. Go tell your friends if you must tell someone.

Right? You'd think that a 75k and a FT member since '06 would know better. Especially since the 2nd post in his history makes it ridiculously easy for them to establish his actual identity.

Not the best move to post your score here.

Were your flights rebooked? Earning miles on an award ticket typically happens during IRROPS when the operating carrier rebooks you on another flight. Since award seats are generally not available at that point, you will usually get booked in a full revenue class and earn miles for that class as if you had paid.

My first thought was that I got miles for all the fuel surcharge fees lol I'll be a good minion and notify AS of the error.

BA is paying AS for the miles, so it isn't as if AS is taking any sort of financial hit for this.

I called AS and they told me this was an error by BA. It is being submitted for correction and AS is going to give me a good citizen bonus....I prefer to earn my status with actual BIS miles.
