N293AK entered service on Sunday-- last of the 737NG deliveries. Next new Boeing will be a MAX9.

Do we know when the first Max is scheduled to be delivered?

The airline is set to take delivery of its first MAX 9 in 2019, with the rest of their order being delivered up to 2023.

Isn’t this already what AS has installed in the reconfigured 737-900 aft cabin?

Has AS actually stated what the MAX9 configuration will be? If it's the same as the 737-900ERs, then they don't need the "space-saver" lavs.

N293AK won't enter service until the mods are finished at PAE and prep for service work is done at SEA. The next new Boeing will be N294AK, a 737-900ER.

Not true, ASA still has 6 -900ERs on order with deliveries planned though March of 2019.

My mistake, was going off the unofficial fleet status page and didn't see any future slots listed, unlike the MAX9 tab so assumed they were now filled.

Thanks ASA_1 & Putzy for fixing my errors!

MAX9s and -900ERs will share the same configuration, as of the last update from management

In that case, a lot of the discussion here of reduced pitch and smaller lavs is totally irrelevant. Everything should be the same size

Does anyone know whether the last couple of 900ERs (293, 294) have the updated cabin installed upon delivery?

Same configuration in terms of the number of seats -- but won't the MAXes get the new interiors, like what's being refitted onto the Airbuses?

And (hold on to your hats, Eskimo-philes), they said the (in)famous bulkhead carpet pattern would not be installed on MAXes...

I would expect so. Boeing (and Airbus) charge to change configurations on existing programs.

Indeed @:-)

Still more familiar with old CO and now UA, but there is a reason CO had aircraft go from induction straight to non CO airport for some modifications before entering service.
