Question: Travel funds from FlexPerks/USBank tik to be applied towards future trip

Ok, have a question here for the AS experts.

I booked a ticket via US Bank Flex Perks before the devaluation which I then cancelled and was left with a credit of $599.80 (had to get max value out of those 30k Flex Perks points!). I did NOT choose to refund to original form of payment since that would've meant that US Bank got the refund since they "paid" for my ticket. My intention was to use that amount towards a future ticket for my daughter and myself while also applying a Companion Cert that I earned via the BOA card. After attempting to do a booking today it appears I might be out of luck per the 75K rep I just spoke with on the phone.

The rep said:
A) Ticket cannot be converted into funds for My Wallet or a Cert/PIN or gift card. Funds will stay on the original ticket number only and be valid for one year from originally booked travel date.
B) Ticket can only be applied towards travel for myself - not myself + 1.
C) All funds must be used in ONE future booking. If future booking is not more than original booking than the remaining funds will be refunded to original form of payment (this means USBank Flex Perks gets the credit back to their card - obviously I want the credit not them)

Is this accurate? If not, what's the procedure to get it booked?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

I have not had similar problems when redeeming Chase UR nor AMEX MR for AS tickets. With a non-refundable ticket, I just cancel and it goes into my wallet. For refundable tickets, I'll first change it into a non-refundable ticket so it is not refunded to Chase/AMEX, then cancel and put it into my wallet. Not sure why it wouldn't be the same with your currency?

Looks like I should've changed it to non-refundable before cancelling and just leaving the $ on the original ticket/record locator number.
