These flights actually put me over the top for MVP. So I asked with no status.

Status shouldn't play a factor in crediting. Remember that you will need 25K AS+Partner miles to earn MVP.

All, As an update to my post above - the AA flights originally did not post to AS and the claim was initially rejected when I submitted a request through the AS website. However, after a quick phone call and email with my documentation (payment/itinerary and boarding passes) the points posted within 1 day. Many thanks for all the good advice!

Slightly OT, but

How would my account be credited (EQM & RDM) on an AA code (AA flight #) but on LATAM metal in D fare? Thank you in advance.

And, what about flights on LATAM Brazil with LA#### flight #s ? Do I get credit for them?

All partner earnings can be found here.

Click on LATAM and select "details" below fare classes to see flight number range.

Am I the only one dreading when AA and AS breakup in 03/2020 and a lot of these mileage run opportunities will potentially be dead? I can only imagine AS is going to crack down on AA-marketed, OA-operated flights....

I would anticipate so since AA will no longer be a partner for earning miles on international flights in MP. I could see AS move more to the witten policy on requiring the marketing airline and operating airline to be the same with adherence that the flight number falls into the specified range for all partners.

Pretty sure AA ticket or metal will be a big nope, AA metal’s specifically excluded, AA ticket means AS gets bupkiss from AA for the miles they issue, so they won’t give miles. You might as well be flying DL.

AA flight number, BA metal, credit to Alaska?

I have a round trip first class trip from SFO to MUC on BA metal. All segments are AA flight numbers. Can I credit to Alaska? I have looked at the website and am confused.

See previous thread

Earn AS Miles on British Airways-Operated Flights With AA Flight Number

Possible caveat is if the flights are after the AA/AS partnership ends and the tickets were purchased after the announcement. Should still earn, but YMMV.

(will ask mods to merge into the other thread)

Any news on this front? I'm flying in July on a BA-operated, AA-ticketed/coded flight (BA202 booked as AA6200). Do I have any hope in crediting to AS given the 3/1/20 changes? I booked after the October 2019 cutoff (link). I no longer have AS status.

AA won’t be a partner, so there is no reason AS should credit any more than they would credit an SQ operated flight on a UA ticket. Go ahead and submit boarding passes, prepare for disappointment.
