In November, the reporting carriers posted an on-time arrival rate of 88.3 percent... the second highest rate ever reported.
It's just one month, but carriers in general had a good month while Alaska Air Group carriers did not.

On a more favorable note, Alaska just reported December performance. mainline, regional and VX all were above 80% and the numbers were dramatically better than the previous year, which again is probably just due to having fewer “snowmagedden” type events. Unusually, it would appear VX reported its best ontime performance all year in December!

Early November was when a few flurries hit Seattle and AS melted down for an entire weekend. I'm sure December will be better, since most of the weather issues were not in the west.

This. November was an exceptionally good month nationwide. If you look in the report, AS and VX had the highest rate of weather and ATC delays, which explains the ranking.

SEA is having big problems with air traffic delays due to being at full capacity and now weather in play. ATC frequently has to slow, loop, or divert inbound aircraft due to spacing. I am now even experiencing takeoff delays due to ATC when there is fog in the AM. I had never experienced that before except with heavys.

To me these numbers aren’t terribly meaningful unless the regional operations get folded into the mainline numbers.
According to their 2016 annual report, Skywest was operating these aircraft/flights for mainline carriers:
United: 313 aircraft, 870 daily flights
Delta: 248, 660 flights
American: 76, 130 flights
Alaska: 15, 80 flights

This one paragraph indicates Delta's regional flights are going to be included in Delta's overall numbers in 2018. Not clear if Horizon's will be added into Alaska numbers, though.
Notably, airlines like JetBlue and Southwest don't operate regional brands and have suffered lower on-time arrival figures than carriers like Delta. That will soon change as Delta's regional flights get factored in to the airline's overall stats, since more than one third of Delta flights are operated by a regional carrier.

Take a look at this article on regionals from a few months ago:
