Probably not - it was spotted last week still in VX colors coming back from GSO - i doubt they painted the aircraft in less than 48 hours.....not impossible but unlikely....anyone at SFO have spotted this bird?

Yes, that actually IS impossible.
You can't strip, prep, prime, and paint a full-sized airliner in 48 hours.
Just not gonna happen.

Was curious how much does the "paint" for this sized airplane run, both in gallons and after curing how much weight

Several years ago, I saw that info for a 737 posted somewhere. Not sure if was FT. Might have been in the AA forum when AA decided to paint all its planes.

I also wonder how soon that white tail A321 will get an eskimo on it -- but painting tails is very complicated, as seen in the shot above, it has to be done before being attached to the fuselage. I don't know if they can get away with using a decal on a tail as an interim step...?
