Sun Vodka->Tito's, Sun Gin->Tanqueray and Sun Rum->Cruzan

I was surprised to be served Tito's vodka last week. The FA said that AS is phasing in Tito's as it depletes its Sun inventory. She also said that the gin is changing
The was an Insight panel survey in the last couple months that specifically asked about Tito's. I guess somebody actually reads those things.

Had it a couple weeks ago as well. It was on SkyWest, and I thought it was a miscater from UA's supply or something.
Good to see it's going to be permanent. These obscure Seattle brands need to go now that they're #mostwestcoast . Well known national brands with recognition will work better.

This makes me sad. Going the way of Jones.
Hope they keep the Hazelnut Espresso Vodka... but imagine it'll be gone too
Perhaps they'll get a drinkable scotch however?

Large national brands provide substantial promotional discounts to vendors, e.g. AS, to get them to serve and promote their products. Air carriers are great targets because there is not a huge onboard selection. So, when a passenger orders vodka, he gets Titos and, having tried it, presumably likes it and buys it at home or elsewhere in the future. When that matches up with consumer choice from surveys, that is simply a bonus. It is all proprietary, but more than likely, AS is paying very little for that Titos.
