It's rarely been available on the app at all lately. Worst was Saturday when my choice wasn't available and the FA reminded us we could pre-order to prevent it from happening. I let her know I tried and it almost never works anymore, and she was apologetic/disappointed to hear it, but also was probably why she had no pre-orders on that flight, or most of her recent ones. Wish they'd fix it soon. It's lame to have a feature like this introduced, only to not work when you try to use it, and then have it somewhat rubbed in your face as something you should have done when you don't get the food you would've liked.

So is the purple rice a "mixture of brown and jasmine rice"?? I've had a LOT of rice in my day (one of my favorite carbs), but I can honestly say I've never seen or tasted purple rice....sounds like something from a Dr. Seuss book...."I will not eat green eggs and ham"....or purple rice for that matter

Glat to See that VXpm in F are still maintaining the "tablecloth"on tray with meals. On AS(737) , the paper liner is so tacky, IMHO.

Oddly enough - no, but I did just work that flight on 9/12. I'm sorry the pre-ordering isn't available. Please let them know at Alaska Listens. We did have pre-orders on the outbound SEA-IAD, quite a few in fact, but none in F coming back - so it seems as though there is some kind of a problem.
