Was 1 of 8 on upgrade list. Plane went out with 1 empty F seat. Didn't want to bother the (wonderful) FAs, so I didn't ask about why the seat didn't get cleared. The flight left early, so I don't know why the GA didn't come process upgrades.

Edit: though as I'm sitting on this 7 hour flight, I'm regretting that decision as I'm rather hungry for something that isn't Y food.

Ugh, I'd write in too.
If I were 1 of 8 on a T-Con upgrade list, I'd be monitoring the u/g list and watching the cabin (once boarded) like a hawk so that a GA was in sight before they closed the cabin door. Once the door's closed, you're SOL, as you witnessed. FAs are close to powerless in that situation, unless they're renegades, which are few and far between.

On our LAX-SJO flight last Saturday we were #1 & #2 on the upgrade list of 5. The gate agent had challenges with our Itinerary and had to call the help desk for assistance. I asked about upgrades as I knew there was one unassigned seat. She looked and advised me that the F cabin had shown all checked in. She also advised that there was one Gold and 2 MVP behind us on the waitlist. Since we were both 75K on a companion certificate I mentioned that I guessed we would be skipped if one F became available. She asked if we didn't mind being split up which I said wouldn't be an issue. She advised that if an F opened up she would upgrade one of us, noted our Premium seats and said she would come and see us. I thought that was pretty nice.

12/10/18 SEA-OAK AS 2411 75K Upgrade cleared at T-96+ hours. (did not notice the exact time)
12/11/18 OAK-SEA AS 371 75k Upgrade cleared at T-96+ hours
Oddly. enough I got an email from my corp TA that shows four flights (original main cabin plus new upgraded flights) and all four were cancelled. Called AS to see if there was any issues on their end and, just as I suspected there were none. Called the corp TA to ask them what was going on. Thankfully although she could see the cancellation notice she could also see I was still ticketed and made a note to NOT cancel my flights, especially as it would cost much more to repurchase the tickets not to mention potentially losing the upgrade.

Needed a flight home from Honolulu. Saw this flight last night with U space available. Purchased the cheapest ticket I could find and was instantly upgraded. Love cheap flights in your upgrade window with open U space.

First flight as MVPG and was able to score an upgrade. Unusually, no upgrades processed until less than an hour before the flight. I was number 8 on the list and 10 cleared to F.

Flight was full and sold out of 1st class. A party must have missed the flight as they came and grabbed all 4 G75Ks that were in the Exits and upgraded us. It was quite a pleasant surprise.
