6/6 LAS-LAX 315p departure: UG @ boarding. Not announced or anything, only found out when the gate agent couldn’t get the computer to accept my BP.
6/6 LAX-DAL 545p departure: UG @ 120 hr.
Both flights were on a PMVX A319 (same plane, actually).

AS764 PDX-DCA
MVPG, Q fare, purchased 5/29
originally booked SEA-PDX-BWI ... walking past the gate at ~T-25 (T-35 for BWI), saw the “Awaiting Seats” screen showing “Capacity 143, Booked 131, Checked In 131” and in a what-the-heck moment went up to the GA at the counter ... explained that I knew full well that the Same-Day Changes rules didn’t allow for co-terminals or routing changes, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised to hear “Sorry, no,” but given a dozen empty seats, landing at DCA would make my evening a whole lot less stressful than taking the MARC and metro into and through the hordes of Caps fans
11 of 12 F seats were occupied when I boarded with Rows 25 and higher, but I was perfectly happy in 11A

AS385/2226 BWI-PDX-SEA
Q fare purchased 6/1
385 cleared at T-72 hrs
2226 — no U any time after T-72; didn’t appear on waitlist after check-in, but phone agent said the internal system showed me on the list ... got to the gate, not on the list; GA managed to add me at the top, but lost my PC seat in the process which was annoying ... cleared at boarding

Lol... not even bothering to report my failure rate these days
Lol... Either to or from EWR from SEA. The only way I get an upgrade these days is by using a GGU months in advance. I realize much of this has to do with not being 75K and flying last minute etc... but my upgrade success rate is abysmal. On this trip I was 11 or 23rd or whatever of 86 for zero seats.

SFO-SEA
AS 1711
Status MVPG
Was 9 out of 24, nobody cleared into F. Interestingly, people in positions 22, 23, 24 cleared into MCS before people above them. This has been happening with regularity to me, and I am unhappy that Alaska is not acknowledging this problem at all.

Due to the quirks of AS' instant upgrade fares, a lot of people who are in the lower positions may have been able to choose a PC seat at booking, yet may be very far down the upgrade list for F, which explains this phenomenon. The app could really do a much better job of not making it seem like everyone's "cleared" out of order.

The app is incredibly strange and has always been claiming that people who may have selected Premium Class seats (as 75Ks/or Golds/MVPs in the proper fare classes) have been "upgraded"--even though these people may have selected these seats from the very beginning, they still show as "upgrades". It's very odd and I've often been someone who is like number 7 on the upgrade list especially ex-DCA (and on an H fare, no less...), yet since I was fortunate enough to pick 10C or some other PC seat at booking, I have technically been "upgraded" by the system and my PC seat assignment is revealed to all, while the people who are 1-6 on the upgrade list for F but may not have snagged a Premium Class seat will not have their seat assignment revealed as they have not "cleared".
