Pleased to report that 840VA now has brand new leather on the pre-refurb 8 F seats. The leather is pristine white. This is a relief after flying on some seriously neglected dirty and cracked leather seats earlier this year.
I post this here since I take this as an indication that AS is again maintaining the old configurations because the refurb is taking longer than originally planned. Could it be because many of use wrote into Alaska Listens?? Whatever the impetus, I'm thankful.

Regardless of the reason, that's wonderful news! Flying in fresh white leather on one of those birds will be like spotting a leprechaun riding a unicorn. Congratulations!

I’m just thankful the seats are being maintained again. It made for a noticeably more pleasant flight.
Here’s are shots of the beautiful white leather:

N622VA is heading to GSO tomorrow. I was actually scheduled to fly on it from PVR to SFO, but now I’m on N835VA N623VA. Looking forward to trying the new Alaska config!!! Trying to upgrade to First...

I'm scheduled to fly a transcon this afternoon and was looking forward to a A321 in the old VX config. Get up this morning and now it's a A321 in the new AS configuration. Sigh.
Wish they would have done the neos last, but hey what do I know.

Oh well, after three aircraft changes, I’m now on N285VA. At least I’ll have TVs for the almost four-hour flight. I do have one more trip with the Airbus jets to Las Vegas, as of right now on the way there from PDX is an A319, but there may be hope on the return leg, as that is scheduled to be an A320.

Flew N526VA for a second time and experienced an hour-long maintenance delay flying from PDX to LAS. There was a problem with the number one engine. Despite the repair being complete, we taxied out with paperwork issues, which held us for a majority of the hour we were delayed. As someone who has been paying attention to the Airbus flight schedules, I notice they all seem to arrive late more times on average than the Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer fleets. Is it because Alaska is still learning how to maintain a new fleet of aircraft, or is there some other reason for these late departures?

I really wish AS would talk to the pilots about turning on the wifi with the satellite equiped plane. Its even advertised as gate to gate on the entryway hall, yet they still adhere to the 10k on and off method like the old stuff.
