Wow - pretty fast in cabin mods, but makes sense heavy mx was done in late 2018. Hopefully we will start to see the pace pick up, and also see a ferry flight to from GSO-IAD pop up between now and tomorrow night.

According to the Alaska Fleet Status website, N924VA has the new livery. It is no longer branded as the SF Giants. There’s still no pictures out to fully confirm it, but the AS Fleet Status site has been pretty spot-on acurate with the cabin mods, so I’d think that’s right. Living in Portland, it’s unlikely that an A321neo will land here (they do come around, but it’s very uncommon), but if it lands or takes off at PDX, I’ll be there to get a picture of it for all of you.

Confirmed; standard livery - https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9275713
interesting they got rid of the SF giants livery especially since they are a longer term sponsor.....
I know most west coast also goes to standard livery....i just hope they keep the more to love for a while...its by far my favorite paint job across any airline....i fly N927VA tomorrow in fact.

I find it pretty interesting that they didn’t repaint N921VA-N923VA. While it technically didn’t have a livery (but instead vinyl wraps), N924VA (as well as N925VA) were not Virgin-branded. I would think they would prioritize the Virgin-branded aircraft first, but it seems they keep holding off of the first three neos.

Finally getting a ride in F on a new Airbus this aft.
Any Airbus pmVX fans settle into a preferred F seat/row on the new cabins? I used to prefer 2A over bulkhead due to the small but usable underseat storage.. That aside (and aside from the risks of equipment swap in row 3/4) not sure if there’s any appreciable difference up front..

Joking aside, it's confounding that they decided to scrap the Giants paint, especially as Alaska continues to attempt to build market share and brand awareness in the Bay Area. I'm not sure how many A320s are left to paint, but I would think at least one of them should come back with some sort of special Giants-themed livery. But then again, Alaska's brand and marketing teams have been asleep at the wheel for a while now so wouldn't be surprised if one never appears.

Then again, my prediction had been that they would keep 924 as it was, just with Chester on the tail, so I'm performing worse than this year's Giants in the prediction arena. ;-)

New information pertaining to Cabin Mods (assumed)
A320: N638VA at 7:00 PM
A321neo: N927VA (More to Love) at 4:30 PM
Considering the last 737-700 completed mods and is on its way out, I think it is safe to assume that focus can now go 100% to the Airbus A320 family in Alaska’s fleet. Unless they decide to mod the other mainline jets, which is highly unlikely. Therefore, we probably should expect to see more cabin mods happening. However, the end of 2019 is still not a feasible date for completion unless they significantly up the amount of Airbuses going in for cabin mods.
