I'm trying to "follow along at home" as the wiki changes. I noticed that N846VA arrived at VCV this afternoon. @cjude1962, is that enough to know that it's there "for paint," or could it be there for any reason and you're getting your info from a more specific source? (Obviously, paint is likely, either way.)

VCV is just for paint. AS has maintenance done in GSO and PAE on the Airbus fleet and OKC as well for the 737s. This website has some interesting info: https://alaskafleetstatus.weebly.com/

Alaska has previously communicated that the new cabin configuration would debut on the Airbus fleet in the "fall 2018" timeframe, so it would seem like that's what's happening to N629VA. Doesn't look like that plane has been repainted though, and you'd think AS would want to debut the new cabin look on a plane that's also in the AS livery...but who knows.

Thanks for the update - 619AS arrived in GSO on the 24th and 628VA arrived there on the 20th, so hopefully that is a sign the interior mods have begun.

Its looking like N629VA will be in GSO for a little longer. Test flight today GSO >> GSO as ASA 9526.
But the painting is happening pretty quick.
There are slight differences in the paint jobs its seems on the Airbus fleet. Look at the green swoosh on the back of the fuselage.....very distinct differences to the AV geeks out there!

Had a little time to go through the VX fleet and updated wiki if they were out of service and where they are as of what date....still unsure what is being done outside of VCV so just put MX until we know more.
FYI - interesting that all the sharklet planes (N2XXVA, N3XXVA) show Alaska Airlines as the owner...where as the rest are the lessors listed. I thought the entire VX fleet was leased.....
