N922VA/"frances" was also the aircraft that operated VX1948 on 4/24/18, the last VX-marketed flight to depart with paying passengers. It was a fun party. Feels fitting that it'll also be the last to fly passengers with the VX livery.

Then N632VA will need to be repainted. But like you said, it’s likely going to get cabin mods, and will go straight to VCV... or do what N630VA did and wait a bit.

No cabin mod for N632VA yet. It's scheduled to go in for paint before N922VA. The last plane to have "Virgin America" as part of its livery will be N493AS.

Question about interior retro-fitting.

I have a flight booked way out in September on "airbus family". Currently the seating chart shows an old config (8 FC, Premium only 6 & exit rows).

That means it will have old VX seats (IFE, etc) right? Once the interiors are retrofitted, there will be minimum 12 FC seats (16 on 321-neos). There's no "middle ground" retro-fit is there? Where they change in all AS seats but keep the same old seating configuration? That would seem wasteful.

I realize September is a ways off and I could end up with an equipment swap before then, but I'm hoping to experience the VX FC seat (assuming its not broken!) before they disappear.

It may or may not happen, but a good general rule at this point for Airbus bookings made that far out is to just expect and be prepared for an equipment swap.

Yeah I'm anticipating a potential swap - but its a redeye flight so I was gonna splurge for FC anyway. Experiencing the VX product before its gone would just be a bonus

Just a heads up: Do NOT pick row 1. Legroom drop is kinda noticable, especially when reclined.

Pardon the poor quality, but here’s N921VA making a landing at SEA from LAX.

Do the reconfigured A320-series aircraft have microlavs in the aft cabin like on the reconfigured 737-700, or are they normal-sized?

Asides from the mid lavatory on the A321, I think it’s just a standard-size lavatory.

The F lav I’ve been on the refreshed airplanes seems to be the same size.

frances is heading to GSO tomorrow. After she does, there will be no more VX red tails flying. (Unless they do something like that N630VA BWI turn with it.)
