From another forum, sounds like 636 was already looking like it was due for a repaint (peeling paint/excessive wear), so it's going back to VCV for a warranty repaint.

I'm not terribly surprised; the last 320 i was on (N642VA - breanna jewel) was already looking a little worn.....or maybe it was just getting dirty.....but interior is in need of a refresh...no money is going into repairs of the interior cabin antmore.

Also - it appears they are using IAD more to cycle 320s into GSO a little more....I think this is prudent as its a heck of a lot closer than SFO and fuel is getting a lot more expensive....

Nice to see the repaints are almost done, but what about N632VA and N639VA? There’s literally no mention whatsoever on when these are going in paint. I know N632VA is in MX and has been for quite some time, but N639VA is the plane flying with the VX coat for the longest. About time. Again, no way in hell they are going to make everything one brand experience by 2019, it seems like it is taking forever to get all planes repainted. We’re only now doing the remaining A321s.

The repainting is quite on schedule....give it a few more weeks and you will see the 321s all done. Im sure N639VA will be sent for paint in the next few weeks after the 321s are done (and repaints of past work is done). I think N632VA is gonna be the lucky last VX painted plane....but i suspect that it will exit GSO with a new interior (and MX done at the same time) and sent directly to VCV for paint....then the focus can be on the interior mods....again we are 13 months until end of "early 2020" for interior mods to be done....so that needs to be 4 or so a month going into GSO for mods....i only really see 2 at a time for 3-4 weeks. So something on that timeline needs to change.

I know way too much to ask, but maybe they can fix the @#$% broken footrests while they are at it...

N922VA is named "frances" after former Virgin America chief HR officer Frances Fiorillo. How fitting that bird will be the last one to wear the VX colors.
