That is not true, and has nevver been true.
I wish people, both here and over at idiots.net, would stop saying it.
Northwest painted planes into the Delta livery LONG before SOC. They had to identify on the radio- once- as "Northwest in Delta colors", but that's it.
TWA planes were in the AA livery.
CO planes said U N I T E D on the side. With a teeny tiny label on the tail with CO's OpCert number.

So please, stop saying that they can't repaint.

How else would you explain AA flying around airplanes in like TEN of their predecessors color schemes...? While those do say "American" on them, the other examples I've listed didn't go to that trouble, and if they wanted, Virgin could paint the planes in AS colors and slap "Virgin" stickers on...

Was that the first (or one of the first) VX planes...??

I vaguely remember the band at the dedication ceremony and was thinking that might have been a launch event. I'm sure folks on here will know

I'm flying SFO-SEA in May, ex-VX Airbus. Only row 3 and 10 show up as 'Premium Class.' Seeing as the conversion for these planes will take a while, does that mean that only those two rows will receive the Premium Class extras (drinks, snack box)? Has AS announced how it's going to handle Premium Class in those planes in the short term?

AS hasn't announced any Premium Class changes for the VX aircraft. I wouldn't expect much until they are reconfigured. If you're not 75K, row 9 is your friend on the A320, and then hope for an upgrade.

Is that photo taken at Boston Logan? A bit amusing to find that plane there as AS lives in the hovel at C-40/C-41. It's hard to be the most of anything there!. I have to believe that B6, UA and maybe even DL have more West Coast flights ex BOS than AS

N923VA has been at the ATS facility at Paine Field since 1/23 - any chance AS has started cabin conversion on the A321s? I didn't think this was happening until the Fall? It shouldn't be an extended maintenance visit this soon after delivery in Nov 2017.

Flying LAX-OGG in late November. The seat map is currently showing Virgin America configuration for first class. I don't want to pay $1,300 pp if the plane will be reconfigured to a standard, domestic first class. Delta is at $800 pp first class and I'd rather do that if it's going to be an Alaska configuration in first. I was able to secure the lie flats coming home on Hawaiian Airlines with an excellent price of only $623 pp. But the flight over to Maui was rating out at $1,800 pp on Hawaiian Airlines for same reason so figured I'd book something else to Maui (I remember when round trip pricing for Hawaii used to be advantageous, but it appears there is no one-way premium from what I'm seeing).

Nonetheless, question for this forum, do we have any indication when the Virgin ETOP aircraft will be reconfigured? Can I rely on the seat map displaying Virgin configured first class 9 months out?
