I got the same thing today for a flight on Wednesday. I lost an exit row premium but retained the seat, when I logged in I moved it to an aisle premium seat closer to the front AND got the $25. Later today I figured out I can’t travel on Wednesday so cancelled the flight, which cost me $59 to book in the first place, and free to cancel (Gold) and I got to keep the $25. Seems crazy but I don’t write the rules.

928 is scheduled to depart GSO tomorrow and will be the first A321 with the new cabin configuration. Take that exit date with a grain of salt though, seeing as most of these birds will show their exit flights scheduled but then cancelled. 519 was ferrying to Detroit this afternoon from GSO after a maintenance visit and scheduled to operate a revenue flight to SEA but has diverted back to GSO.

N284VA will be heading to Victorville tomorrow on the 20th. Second ETOPS A320 to be repainted. Following the exit of N841VA (the #nerdbird) from VCV the same day.

Come to think of it, will AS even use A320 family jets for ETOPS flights? I know it has been done before to Hawaii, but havenít seen anything new.

I wouldnt count on the exact entry to service until it lands back at SFO....many flights were scheduled to just have them cancelled....so who knows!

928 exited cabin mods today and is on the way to SFO. Mods took about 30 days, so the A320s that are not undergoing a heavy check should take about the same amount of time, give or take. I'm not sure if any of the cabin mods are actually being scheduled along with heavy checks at the same time, but if not it will speed up the cabin mod process for sure.

Waitlisted - I have a flight booked for November SEA to FLL I booked row 17 and paid the upgrade ... given the time line for Alaska to complete the upgrades - would you risk changing your seat to what WOULD be a premium seat IF the plane get reconfigured?

Even by November, 2019 - i dont expect AS to keep the original marketing that by end of 2019 all airbuses will be in AS interiors.....given the current galacial pace....i would say by then probably at most a third will be reconfigured. I would hang tight and just keep the seat - if they do swap; you are entitled to a seat refund anyway - you get exit row regardless....the soft product differences between main cabin and premium are just free drinks....take the upgrade refund and pay for drinks...you probably will still come out ahead if they do swap aircraft ( this is not including any voucher they may give you as goodwill).

Agree. One reconfigured plane in service, with two more about to re-enter. If they maintain the current pace of two/month, only 21 out of 71 Airbuses would be reconfigured by November. Maybe the pace will pick up at some point?

Typically the pace slows down in the middle of the summer due to high aircraft utilization...

N523VA is to be in Victorville tomorrow. Additionally, as I speak, N527VA is on its way from PDX (my local airport) to Greensboro. Not sure if it is for maintenance or cabin mods, but if it is for the latter, we could very well be seeing the first A319 with the new cabin!

Not my video, but this has some footage of the new A321neo interior. It really isnít much different, if you ask me. Just an extra row of First Class.

Also not my video, but this is the first (and so far, only, I believe) video of the new interior on N628VA. It goes pretty in-depth.

the devil is in the details, all of the interior footage here is from the a320, not the A321NEO.

In the first video, look carefully. Youíll notice four rows of First Class seats. The A320s (and eventually the A319s) only have three rows. In the second video, that is of an A320 (N628VA). The first video has footage of N928VA, the A321neo with the new interior. Again, not much for the latter.
