Do they look much different from what they're showing on the website as the preview? I'd hope so as those don't seem all that different or very far outside the box from the interiors I've seen on the legacies.

Is there a comparable thread for the 737 fleet tracking repainting and eventual interior updates?

In September (maybe it was August) I read in the Alaska magazine that the E175s would also be getting blue mood lighting as part of the unified cabin experience they’re hoping to bring across the fleets.

And so it begins - looks great! Do you know if the 737-700s got blue mood lighting during the update?

Nothing on FT - of course, if you want to start a unified paint/reconfiguration tracking thread and wiki - i would be happy to contribute. Although given the size and scope of the AS fleet....perhaps a separate E versus A versus B threads to keep the tracking manageable.

Also the weebly site is tracking the whole reconfiguration / repaint on a summary basis.

But it does look good - cant wait to see N628VA out of the shop....

I think simple filters like the airbuses is feasible. but would always be blue (like B6).

True, but from a practicality stand point, should be great during turbulence, and mitigate the need to hold on to your glass/cup, etc during the bumps.

RIP native-art-inspired, geometric carpet design. That design is one of the things that remember most clearly about flying as a kid. I was hoping that they would keep some element of it, or at least have something more interesting than generic USAir-style swoops. At least the wood grain is a nice touch. I wonder if it's real strip of wood or just wood-textured plastic.

Also, weren't we supposed to get seat-back tablet holders? I guess those are just for coach. At least that strap will be easier to hang a digiplayer or an iPad (in a case) off of than the back of the old F seat was.

Big from me for the foot rests and cup holders.

The sidewall and ceiling lights are programmable led lights. Plenty of blue is currently programmed.

The First class seat tablet holder is built in to the tray table.

One of the bigger changes that hasn't been mentioned is the relocation of the seat power boxes. First now has them mounted crosswise at the front of the seat. Coach, they are mounted horizontally under the center seat bottom.

Does it heat the seat or is otherwise noticeable by the occupant?

Ah! That’s an update I definitely appreciate. The power box was always awkward and takes up a decent amount of foot room

That is excellent news! I used to think that VX didn’t have those, until I went back to flying them after the merger and realized they just had a much better placement.
