Im flying on AS1101... N629VA! Interesting we had an APU issue since it was just in for a tune-up....LOL

Anyway - I was talking with the FA and apparently they are deactivating all of red screens for the streaming product on the airbuses prior to reconfiguration? November 1? Perhaps its confusion of the first reconfigured airbus going to be in the fleet? Never heard this....

Yikes, hope that isn’t true! Have a paid F transcon on Airbus equipment on Nov 2 and this would be very disappointing...

I was on a flight back in August, and had an FA state that the screens were all going to be ripped out by November 1. It sounds like disabling Red has been planned for a while now, sure do wish that AS would give advance notice... but based on the lack of notice before live TV was removed in March, I'm not getting my hopes up.

No kidding. They're going to get ripped out anyways, why not leave them operational until then? Dead screens staring back is just taunting. At least AS isn't running looped credit card adverts for the entire flight I suppose...

-700? Are the the reconfigs going to have a new code, or keep 73G?

Showed up just in time for 3rd quarter earnings tomorrow. Nice timing for some extra eye candy in the earnings release. The 700's don't have premium class now. Don't remember if they are getting it or not with this mod.

yes - see link for interior mods and configuration....frankly would have liked to see N628VA at Q3 earnings show with it entirely redone...but i guess not.

(Mods: Feels like this string of -700 posts should be in a different thread, since this is about Airbuses)

Are the 700s getting fancy new F seats in this mod? Same slimline seats as the -800s and -900s in Y?

Yes, they're getting the new F seats. The Recaros in Y seem identical to the ones currently on the rest of the 737s, with the addition of a tablet holder in the seatback.

Would have liked to see N628VA as well. It has been as GSO for about a month so it should be out soon.

However since N628VA is still in VX colors, I would expect that she will make a stop at VCV for a fresh coat of paint before we see her in the wild.

I think so too - can't imagine 628 will debut the new cabin without a stop in VCV for paint first.

Cmon this is AS! they are short on lift with the airbuses due to MX all scheduled all at once.....they would send it out reconfigured in VX colours!

Time will tell! All I can say is that the new interiors are a breath of fresh air compared to the dull as dirt blue and grey with a smidge of red accent interiors of AA, DL and UA - at least AS is thinking outside the box.
