I recommend you take your lumps and move on.
Read the AS rules for 2018 and start fresh. There is no need for a crusade against AS and trying to right the wrongs of this situation.

OP was crediting award flights and getting miles from AS Mileage Plan.
He basically defrauded Alaska, and now his legitimate BIS miles don't qualify for elite status.
I'm surprised Alaska didn't ban him from the program, honestly.

How, exactly, does one do that regularly? I've only had it happen once in the last 25 years and it was a UA award flight that I changed at the gate, and the agent mistakenly booked me into a paid fare class vs award. I'd be really surprised if there's some glitch in the Alaska system that allows award tickets to be regularly credited as if they were paid tickets.
