I recommend you take your lumps and move on.

Read the AS rules for 2018 and start fresh. There is no need for a crusade against AS and trying to right the wrongs of this situation.

Two wrongs don't make it right, but two wrights made an airplane

OP was crediting award flights and getting miles from AS Mileage Plan.

He basically defrauded Alaska, and now his legitimate BIS miles don't qualify for elite status.

I'm surprised Alaska didn't ban him from the program, honestly.

Do you know this for fact or are you guessing?

How, exactly, does one do that regularly? I've only had it happen once in the last 25 years and it was a UA award flight that I changed at the gate, and the agent mistakenly booked me into a paid fare class vs award. I'd be really surprised if there's some glitch in the Alaska system that allows award tickets to be regularly credited as if they were paid tickets.

BA tends to do that sometimes, I've been credit a J award as a full-fare J ticket before... And I know I'm not the only one that's happened to

Were these award flights as this poster alleges?

Lots of speculation here. Trial in absentia, I guess.

Yeah, I'm sure he's going to do that (after editing his original post and removing "BA" from it). Not suspicious at all.
