I certainly don’t have real evidence. My main reason for suspecting that there are more companion fares to Hawaii is that a higher fraction of travelers to Hawaii are leisure travelers and therefore Hawaii travelers are more likely to have a travel companion. Obviously a solo business traveler can’t use a companion certificate. (Solo leisure traveler can’t either.)

Very unlikely. There's not sufficient traffic on PDX-TPA. LOL.
