New Flights from Paine Field!

https://blog.alaskaair.com/alaska-ai...-field-flying/

“We’re not quite ready to share details of the routes,” says John Kirby, Alaska’s vice president of capacity planning. “But I can tell you they won’t be limited to short, regional flights. We’re talking daily, nonstop flights to some of our most popular destinations.”

Great news...let the speculation begin.

I'd guess some combination of PDX, SFO, LAX and HNL. Maybe even ANC.

Of course I wonder which group will be the first to file a lawsuit to try and stop this

This is great. I'm about equidistant from both and I'd prefer PAE 99 times out of 100 to SEA.

Great news!

I'll bet the Hilton Garden Inn up there will make a bundle on park n fly. Traffic could be interesting though, given the heavy traffic to/from Boeing at times.

Yeah, I agree with PDX, SFO, LAX, HNL, and maybe one transcon.

I wonder if construction in the N gates at SEA plays any role here. Will any frequency at SEA to places like LAX or SFO shift up to PAE?

Who's on the inaugural flight with me? @beckoa I know you'll be in, who else?

When will the terminal with two gates be ready at PAE? I'm guessing it will be done by that time. Also guessing half the flights will be to PDX everyday

I doubt it's N gate construction, but I'm sure congestion at SEA plays a role. Flying out of Paine means they have more place to park planes overnight and more gates to operate from. Can also expand service without adding more crunch to an already packed SeaTac.

I would bet on LAS over a transcon.

Would also not be surprised to see GEG in there somewhere.

If there could then be Kenmore air fixed plane options from the San Juans that would connect, this could be awesome for many!

That will make connecting a pain in the rear unless these plan to be O/D routes.
