Recently had our first child, and I'll be taking parental bonding leave in February next year. Is that when I should apply for Elite Leave, and it would extend my 2021 earned-status through end of 2023?

In case folks are wondering - I'm on paternity leave myself and applied for elite leave by sending an email to [email protected]. I never got a response, but yesterday I looked in the app and saw that my 75K status was extended through December 2024 (pat leave ends in January) . So, this benefit really works! But odd that I never received a reply - even checked my spam folder.

Does anyone has any datapoints for how long it takes for AS to update your status for this promotion? Wife and I had a kid at the end of November last year and I was a 75k then. I submitted an e-mail on 1/4 but have yet to hear back or see an update on my account. I have no status for this coming year and am hoping to have my status updated since I have a few work trips I have to take early on this year.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Data point on processing time. Finally got mine approved today. Been checking every day. Emailed 1/4/2023 and it was processed 1/26/2023.
Edit: I never got an email back from Alaska the change in status just showed up in my account.

It does work. 100k extended thanks to Paternity leave. Despite bith, still managed to get MVP Gold organically.

- your kid was born in late 2022. at that point, were you 75k from qualifying in 2021 or 2022? that is, had you already qualified for 75k for 2023?
- you emailed in early 2023
- how long was your status extended for? through 2023 or 2024?

I'll be requesting this in October and I'll be interested to see if it is granted.
I status matched at the Beginning of the year to MVP 75k from A-List+Companion. My travel has been lighter than expected this year and we have a baby due in late September which will hinder some travel as well. Probably looking at only getting MVP this go round. I wonder if they'll extend my MVP 75k from the Status Match.

Had you qualified for 75k by the time you emailed them? or did you effectively get 2 years of extended status?
