I took a VX flight on 4/14 that I booked on AS website.

24 hours before I was unable to check in online and had to check in at the airport.

Now the miles have not posted to my AS account.

At the airport, I inquired as to why I couldn't check in
Noticed it was the first time ever I did not get TSA precheck on boarding pass as well..

Not a good experience so far..

Were you trying to do online check in with AS or with VX? If a VX flight, you need to check in with VX. You can do it on the VX website.

When checking in for a codeshare flight, be sure to check in with the operating carrier. That means the actual airline providing the air service.

I tried both, using their respectively different confirmation codes.
Errored out and would just hang on VX website.

Call center agent said to check in at airport.

Airport agent said you cannot check in online when booking a VX metal flight on AS website.
This doesn't seem right.

Definitely not right. I have done it. It was a problem right at first (when the merger was in it's infancy) but it is definitely doable now. Found out the hard way that, unlike AS, once you check in online with VX, you can't change your seat. I had to call, they unchecked me, then had to re-check in. But you can definitely check in online on the VX site.

As for miles posting, mine have taken up to two weeks sometimes.

So, after all that, I have no idea what your issue was. Better minds than mine can now chime in.

Was it in the R fare bucket? There have been reports of errors with miles posting for those fares; somehow AS has trouble automatically processing it as an AS R fare (which is for revenue flights) instead of VX R (which is an award or nonrev bucket and doesn't earn miles), despite the fact that they're selling it with an AS flight number.

That doesn't surprise me with all the technology merging I'm sure is happening behind the scenes. If the miles haven't posted, go through the normal process to file for missing miles.

The VX metal flight was booked using my AS travel bank.
AS website states it may take up to 60 days to post miles from a VX flight.
That's too long.

Its typically taken 5-10 days to post with me. I've had about 10 flights on VX this year.

I also notice that if a VX flight is booked on AS site, the mileage plan number is not populated on VX end. I had to go to VX site and look up reservation, then re-enter my mileage plan number. AS needs to fix this.
