My money is leaning toward JFK before SFO or PDX. T7 is undergoing a major remodel and it may actually be under construction, as opposed to the two other pipe dreams located in severe non-smoking zones.

Shouldn't be THAT hard to do that.
Former UA IFC Lounge is now used by LO. Design and furniture are all UA, they spent something like 10 bucks to hide UA branding and have a brand new lounge

So it has to be the UA RCC space that AS would use.

Any word of AS' upcoming JFK lounge?
The press release says "early 2018 opening". Based on history that probably means 2020 at the earliest.

The lounge will be located at the gate from which the flight will be departing. Free entry for all AS passengers.

Oh ye of little faith. If you didn't live at such a high latitude, you would occasionally see donkeys flying. If you look way way way down the horizon* to the south, you might occasionally see one.

*not the airline

well T7 should have 2 empty lounge spaces -- the former United Red Carpet Club and United International First Class lounge.

Unless PANYJ/BA are totally gutting that section of the terminal (upstairs, above the counters)

AS and VX switching to T7 JFK Oct 4

Saw a sign at the VX boarding gates this morning.

Is the Alaska Lounge even open yet?

Right now I have a DL Sky Club Membership so I use the T4 lounge if I am flying VX.

What is there in T7? Any lounge option at all, even paid?

Hi,

I think the only lounges at JFK T7 are

British Airways Club/first/Concorde Room

Regards

TBS

PS Sorry if repeated above

So I just want to confirm - but has there been any notice given (in a press release or something) of the October 4 date of the move to T7? I'm just looking for something a little more substantial.

AS Website airport guide shows it (Though says 10/5 and not 10/4):

John F. Kennedy (JFK) Airport Advisory: Beginning October 5, 2017, Alaska Airlines and Virgin America will be located at Terminal 7, Gates 1-12.

Having been here (JFK T7) twice this weekend I can confidently say: old school Terminal - Lots of space under construction. Limited food & Bev options. No Starbucks. No Pre. Dilapidated & insufficent restroom space. On the other hand, you can only go up from here.

yeah, that's my experience with the terminal also. But if you are flying international, the immigration lines are really short.

Is there at least wifi? Ill be spending way too much time at JFK over the next 2 weeks. 3 hours each x 4 stops.

If you're there for 3 hours, that should be plenty of time to head over to the AF lounge if you have PP.
