Made MVP for the first time since moving to PDX a few years back. Wasn't thinking it was going to happen but a few transcon business flights in the fall made it worth trying for. The customer service is a step above other airlines. May need to fly to DC 4-8 times next year, so maybe hit MVPG next year...

I'm 341 miles short for 75K re-qualification. God, to think of all the times this year I could've simply routed through SEA instead of flying direct from PDX I wouldn't have to spend an extra ~$150 for a mileage run.

Seems like every time I look at awards trips to Europe, the only thing available is economy and premium economy.

After almost 10 years of MVPG (with a few years at 75K sprinkled in), I made it well over halfway to Million Miler, plus countless more flown on partners and on awards. But life changes, and I'm ending 2017 with under 10K miles credited to ASMP. Tomorrow's my last flight as a Gold, in 2018 I'll join the ranks of the masses again.!

I should re-qualify for Gold tonight on AS 501 IND-SEA. However, my run on AA last week hasn’t posted yet, so I’m about 1500 short of the 50k partner miles. Gonna be watching for that to post here before the 31st. Really don’t want to do another mileage run.

96k miles has posted and should be up to 103k after 7 more segments.
build up to 400k miles with little plan to spend it as i have too many booked deals.
no problem for 75k next year as i will pick up 45k by the end of feb

Once yesterday’s SFO-SNA and last week’s SFO-LAX-BOS-SFO (fuel stop in SLC) posts I’ll be MVP Gold again.
In all my flying that was the first tech fuel stop ever. Also my first time at SLC, but we went to a remote stand and stayed aboard so it barely counts. I am grateful I was flying a cheap P fare coming home, but I was inside that 320 for more than nine hours. Kinda starting wishing for an arrival meal.
The FA said one of the pilots lives in SLC and would unfortunately not make it home that night because of the fueling delay. Also AS customer care sent me an unsolicited flight credit as an apology.
