Sign out at PDX at 9:30am Saturday 1/12. Overheard the desk staff kindly offering other PP options to those denied entry.

LAX sign not out 9 Jan (somewhere between 730 and 800am). Lounge was fairly full. I expect the sign went out shortly after we arrived.

LAX lounge sign was up before 9:30am. By then, the place was packed. I'd estimate 95% of seats taken. Packed that tight it isn't too relaxing. As a positive the staff is upbeat and great.

I just received an email from AS Customer Service in response to my message complaining about JFK telling me that "we can't let you in now, but come back at 3:15 and you can come in," and of course not being allowed to enter at 3:15.
The email said:
Has anyone else been told that? The Alaska lounge is still listed on the PP website.

We are no longer accepting Priority Pass at our Alaska Lounges. The decision came as our lounges were over crowded and our members that had a direct membership with our lounges were being denied access.

I'm a UA 1K million-miler who was looking for a potential alternative to UA, and this trip with my family was such a disaster that I'm unlikely ever to voluntarily fly AS again. It's too bad, because a lot of my domestic travel patterns line up nicely with AS out of SFO. But that's the subject of another rant.

so far, it seems PP still good for non-SEA lounges. Language on PP site still indicate such. Now it could be that AS announces that as of .....(some date, like Feb 1) PP will no longer be associated with AS. I also took note of AS Customer Service response that indicates that AS Lounge members have been denied entrance. I find that very hard to believe.

I did not see a sign outside the PDX lounge at 11am today. But I had already gone shopping at Capers Market and I didn't really feel like going in.

Arrived LAX this morning (11) and no sign out. Entered with F boarding pass. Noon, crowded and they are putting sign out. Lounge attendants did say that PP customers are the most aggressive and rude. ( this was after AS Lounge member loudly complained that there is “nothing to eat” and took a giant handful of Chocolates before entering the elevator.
Left for boarding at 12:45 and they were taking the sign back upstairs. So, it seems they really do try to make lounge available when they can. It was closed to PP for approx 45 minutes while I was there today.
