Interesting, last week at D the sign was out and I went in anyways, asking them if any AS clubs would accept PP. They directed me to C, and when I asked them to call and save a space, they told me they could no longer do that. Sure enough, when I got to C moments later, I was admitted (no sign out). I watched at least 5 other PP holders admitted too.
I am not going to run all over SEA airport checking for signs, though. If they start making me do that, it will be a guarantee that I will consider the PP benefit dead at least at that airport where the lounges are spread all over the place.

Here's a new one though: I asked them to check and see if the N lounge had the sign out before I walked over there and they refused. They said new policy was to "not save spots". I said I wasn't asking for a saved spot, just wondering if the sign was out, and again they refused saying the new policy is to not check and you have to go and see for yourself.
Could there be any other PP lounge out there that's this PP-unfriendly?
These days, I don't even bother with AS lounge. I have PP and United Club access. Even if I'm flying out of C, D or N, I head straight for United Club. It's a long walk... takes 15min from UC to N gate. But at least I'm welcomed in every time. Really wish they'd move the Club at SEA from S to N or D. Love Club at SEA... better than AS Board Room.

PDX 6/20/2018 6pm. No sign. Admitted even though lounge appeared close to capacity. No sign when I left an hour or so later.

Looks like they need a display sign like the one that shows you what the delays are at each of the TSA checkpoints and which have Pre check!
As far as being able to check the computer, do they mark when the sign is out in the computer? Sometimes when I come in they don't even remember if their own sign is out!

That's why (especially at LAX), I always go in and try regardless of if the sign is out. I've found it's about 50/50 whether they let me in no question or just say "oh whatever" and just let me in.

They took the sign in at LAX around 9:30 am today with a line of a dozen or more people waiting at the elevator. Inside it was maybe 25% full (before the line arrived) so I figure they were late in taking the sign down. I'm sure they would have allowed PP members in before if anyone tried.

I can usually get in when SEA D opens at 4:30am but I still feel like they are going to turn my PP away from so many past experiences at other times. The PP card machines need significant boot up time it seems and have trouble that early in the AM so sometimes they need to do a paper transaction.

LAX , 03 July, sign out at 0800. It was down for about 15 mins before that. They got a flood of PP users and a group of about 10 checked with one CC that was at the desk. Lounge about 80-90% full.
