This is exactly what I do, especially since you have SFO T2, which is a real decent lounge for a domestic and the ticket for SFO AS flights. The Citi AA Advantage with up to 10 authorized users (no AS Lounge for authorized users) is a great deal.
This is also what I do and I’ve added eight authorized users - parents, brother, etc. I don’t ask them to split the annual fee, but it makes the $450 I pay well worth it since between all of us it gets such an insane amount of use. As a side note, authorized users do get AL access as of early 2018. But no guests.

This would be good news to me (and meant I burned a lounge day pass needlessly when they were closed to PP). Where did you see/hear this? I couldn't find anything that indicated this changed.

That I didn't know! Thanks for the info. Last year I reached Gold in April and used it a lot for AL access but this year I am not quite 1/2 way to MVP having spent all of January & February flying around the world in Business and First on awards. I do have my eye on a few excellent PE fares, LHR to West Coast in BA F and an around the world mileage run. Shouldn't be hard to reach MVPG75K again this year when you are Flying For Fun. 😁😉

Appreciate the update.

James

Was at the lounge at 8:35pm on Sunday 4/29 in the north satellite. Club is completely empty and sign is out. The agent is also actively turning people away who are asking to enter the PP. I used my 75k pass to enter and there is really nobody in here. It’s ridiculous.

Yep, that sounds about right....if you write in about to Alaska Listens, they'll probably respond with the excuse that they are saving space for an "anticipated" increase in travelers.....yeah, right....as we all know by now after seeing half-empty (or less) lounges, capacity issues cannot be the only reason the "Full House" sign is out.

Quite a few empty seats here in the LAX lounge. PP sign was out when i came in. I wasn't going to burn a PP visit anyways (10 visits with Hilton AMEX) since i have 75K lounge passes and I'm rarely at an AS lounge location.

My understanding is authorized users never had access to AL with Citi card. Only the primary card holder has a full blown Admirals Club membership.

It’s discussed here, see post #135

About 40 min after arriving someone who came in after me last night was talking about how he got in w/ priority pass so they must have taken the sign down.

Sign was out at LAX as I left at 630AM to head over to the Star Alliance Lounge in T6. And the club was fairly busy starting at 5am, was a bit surprised.

Just curious what other sort of business class you'd be flying AF in from the USA?
