I went into the main concourse BR on Wednesday last week. It was kind of a joke.

So packed there was nowhere for two people to sit together, upstairs or down.

The food options consisted of: some lettuce and some sliced mushrooms. That was it. No soup (ran out). No cheese.

I spent less than 5 minutes in there before walking back out.

As I walked back out I told one of the BR concierges how disappointing it was as a paid BR member, and that I was leaving to go to the DL lounge. She agreed wholeheartedly that the crowding, the lack lustre food offerings etc were all way below par and how she's "peeked in at the Delta and Amex clubs and they were amazing in comparison". She said management doesn't listen to the employee feedback and urged me to write in to AS Listens.

BR membership is becoming a joke and AS really needs to get their act together. Im regretting renewing my membership end of last year.

Instead I enjoyed far superior surroundings, amenities, food options and drinks at the new DL SC where the contract staff even come around and offer you beverage or cocktail refills at your seat now.

Visited the BR many, many times....never been denied entry with my PP, of course I almost never fly during a weekday unless it's during the holidays or summer so maybe that makes a difference.

Did it appear that they are letting in lounge pass holders (i.e., the ones they send 75Ks)?

I didn't memorize the four restricted categories on the sign, only recalling no day pass members nor priority pass holders. If I had to guess, I'd say those 75K passes are excluded also. The intent seemed clear enough that they were only taking paid BR members, and eligible members of other clubs as required reciprocity.

If PP is worthless, I'll drop the Reserve card before it renews as I've already got my $300 of "travel" spent this year.
You do not get any prorate fee back, so might as well keep it till the AF comes up. Might get some retention offer.

I know Im a rare breed but I find my BR membership significantly worth more in the past 6 months since the AA Admirals Club reciprocity deal came into play.

The SeaTac rooms leave a lot of room for improvement, but overall I am happy. Then again, I did just shower at the SFO Admirals Club after nearly 24 hours in an airplane so Im in a good mood.

I was allowed in with PP at around 11:30a on Monday. They said the sign was put out but since a number of people had just left, there should be room. There were plenty of single seats available upstairs and the standard food available but lunch had just been put out.

I mentioned to the front desk that the PP members are grumbling about the restricted access and he apologized and said that this is just temporary until the C terminal BR opens but they have to prioritize their BR members.

Fortunately for me this is the time slot I am usually there and it is not too busy (and trends toward less busy at the noon hour).

When I was there yesterday the signs were out. I did see them turn away and angry PP holder, but no idea on BR passes. Once inside it was less crowded than I expected and it was nice as a paying member to actually be able to find a good seat!!

I wonder how they are handling passengers with F boarding passes.
Are these going to be allowed entrance or do they fall under the "no longer allowed" category??

I'm sure they are allowed entry, as they've paid for entry already in the form of their ticket.

Hmmm. Makes me think I should choose Delta over Alaska when purchasing my next F fare. I have never been denied access to the Delta lounge in Seattle with a F Delta boarding pass.
