Web/Mobile enhancements you'd like to see 2017
 

Picking up where this thread left off, what are your top requests for AS IT in 2017?

Mine are very similar to last year

* Fix back-end problems with upgrades
* More info in Flight Status, including inbound a/c, seatmap and flight map with weather overlay (UA has done this really well for years)
* Ability to select good seats on VX flights

Those are great ideas. That would be good.

Ability to change a reservation on the app.

ability to apply MVPG Guest upgrades and use the companion code when booking on the app

ability to see more info about reservations on the app (eg, receipts, fare class, etc)

ability to see the fare class you are booking into during the reservation/flight selection process

bring back the old view of U space on the website and the app. the new methods for visualizing U space really suck.

most importantly, fix the upgrade system once and for all

edit to add - partner phantom inventory, clean it up. seeing lots of this right now for AA at the end of the booking calendar, and everywhere on a specific route on QF. it is maddening that AS search tools are not better equipped to filter this stuff out.

also, the ability to filter out "mixed cabin" search results for award travel. no thanks i don't want to pay business class price for a DL award where SMF-SEA is in F and SEA-HKG is in coach.

Let us reserve meals for purchase in coach ahead of time on the website (currently available only on app).

Standby/Same Day Changes button that's always present

First class meal reservations.

I do a SDC and I'm not on the upgrade list.

I try and add myself on alaskaair.com and get an error.

DL has a really awesome bag tracking feature in their app. It would be nice if AS at least let you see if your bag was scanned onto the plane. I dont know if theres a technical reason why this wouldn't work.

Also, I would absolutely love it if the "in-flight" phase of the app had a map (fed from gogo?) or even just a progress bar so you could see how long was left in the air at a glance.

Track the inbound plane that is going to be your flight. That's a cool feature on another airlines app.

Show a boarding time on the app and the electronic boarding pass that is consistent with the boarding time shown at the gate (mostly for QX flights).

For us to be able to use the bluetooth luggage tags. I see the option in the app. It's been over a year. Where are they?

Ability to search for U or GGU space for specific routes on any dates. In other words, I want to know when I can use GGUs for SEA - KOA at any time in Q3'17 (or whatever search range you want - all of 2017, the duration of the timetable, Dec 2017, July 2017, etc), and I would like a way of doing this without having to look at specific days.
