Screw it I dont want to deal with the stuff going on in PDX tomorrow. I SDC to the 2:45PM DEN-SEA and get into PDX hopefully after things have settled down. Gave up my upgrade and now i'm #2 for 6 seats on my new flight. I'll see if i get lucky but i'm thinking catering error. Now i don't have to get up so early and Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are still on the company dime

Hooray for mid-range bourbon!

I know that sounds like it might be sarcastic, but I actually am happy about it. Not over the moon, exactly. But all improvements are appreciated.

Well it is a commercial airline. I hope you aren't expecting Pappy Van Winkle.

Nope.

Woodford is about the best that any airline serves, and is quite good for the price. I'm more of a scotch guy, so long-haul on the right airline usually has something I look forward to more eagerly.

On the other hand, I really enjoy bourbon-based cocktails. Maybe I can sneak some mixers on-board to make something interesting out of it.

It's pretty easy to do (so I've heard).

One bourbon I wouldn't mind paying for (even in First Class) would be Bookers. It is soooo tasty but at 128 proof, probably just one double would be enough. That is, not without having pre-arranged wheelchair assistance off the airplane upon arrival

Happy Birthday to me I'll drink one and another one. Two flights today. Hope it will come my way SJC-SEA and SEA-DFW. First Class now has meaning.

Woodford is darn good. It's my go to on Delta in Comfort Plus. It's very smooth. I love Scotch Glenmorrie 24 Year,Glenlivett 24 Year Tillamook Dew from Ireland. Woodford is better than Dewar's 12 year in my opinion.

I agree Bookers is amazing and poof worthy but what price are Lo you willing to pay? I had Bookers at a function a few years back. Don't ask me how my friend lugged me to this amazing Liquor convention with as many samples as you could handle. We had Bookers and somehow kept coming back for more.

Don't worry we had our hotel room right at the convention center and two wheel barrels to take us to our suite. We ran into airline reps tasting liquor for the flights.

Excellent. Now if they would just get a decent single malt scotch.

You could contact UA and ask their position on status matching AS / VX elites?

Spotty network out of SEA, but they have upped their liquor game...

Buffalo Trace and Moscow Mule

Glenfarclas
