Screw it I dont want to deal with the stuff going on in PDX tomorrow. I SDC to the 2:45PM DEN-SEA and get into PDX hopefully after things have settled down. Gave up my upgrade and now i'm #2 for 6 seats on my new flight. I'll see if i get lucky but i'm thinking catering error. Now i don't have to get up so early and Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are still on the company dime

Woodford is about the best that any airline serves, and is quite good for the price. I'm more of a scotch guy, so long-haul on the right airline usually has something I look forward to more eagerly.
On the other hand, I really enjoy bourbon-based cocktails. Maybe I can sneak some mixers on-board to make something interesting out of it.

One bourbon I wouldn't mind paying for (even in First Class) would be Bookers. It is soooo tasty but at 128 proof, probably just one double would be enough. That is, not without having pre-arranged wheelchair assistance off the airplane upon arrival

Don't worry we had our hotel room right at the convention center and two wheel barrels to take us to our suite. We ran into airline reps tasting liquor for the flights.

You could contact UA and ask their position on status matching AS / VX elites?
