Examples:
2/2/17 SEA-ANC AS 67 75K Upgrade cleared at T-120 hours

I got didn't get MVP/GOLD/75K Upgrade on AS (2017)

I think I was on a weird flight. When I cleared that far out, there were still 6 F seats available for selection.

12/24/17 AS 862 OGG-PDX K class. Checked our flights incessantly after purchase until one random weekend there were 2 U seats available with my gold guest upgrade coupons, so snagged them!! SCORE!!!! This flight will (re) qualify me for MVG and him for MVP.

Nice score. I am on OGG-PDX 12/26. Full Y fare. Purchased about 3 months ago. Still in coach. Check 4-5 Times a day and no U space with 4 seats available.

Kinda surprised to get auto-upgraded on this flight since I was flying with my non-status son on the same reservation and I thought MVPs weren't eligible for companion upgrades. We both got auto-upgraded and I received the email confirmation about T-23. This is the second time this year I've been upgraded with a non-status companion on my reservation

it is impossible to put in an upgrade cert (i.e., GGU) on the waitlist unless something has changed. you can only apply a GGU if U space is open and the upgrade can be immediately confirmed.

without knowing the details of your status and reservation as well as the others it is impossible to say how 3 others were upgraded. if the process worked as it should, those folks had higher status than you and also had Y fares. if you have 75K status, they purchased before you and also had Y fares and 75K status. however, the process is known to have some flaws.

Upgraded to 1st both flights Dec 16.

Very surprised to be upgraded for the flight on the 27th 11 days prior. Upon Checking availability after being upgraded, every seat in 1st except mine remained unsold. This is on an E75. I guess they figured they wouldn't sell 11 seats in next 10 days.

12/24/17 SEA-SJC AS 332 MVP : Upgrade cleared at T-48 hours
12/26/17 SJC-SEA AS 361 MVP : 6/11 on waitlist; no one seemed to clear (full flight, first class looked to be full of kids + families)
