Apologies if this is elsewhere in this thread, but can I book SEA-KOA-NRT-BKK on a single award redemption ? Would it fall under North America to Asia?

No AS doesn't allow connection in Hawaii when going to Asia. They do allow Start in Hawaii and fly to mainland to fly to Asia, go figure.

Home-Hawaii (trip 1)
Hawaii-NA Home(trip 2, stopover)
Home-Asia (trip 2)
Asia-NA Home (trip 3, stopover)
NA Home-Hawaii (trip 3)
Oh, look, you got a free round trip to Hawaii embedded in those other two trips. But an actual en-route stopover in the middle of the Pacific instead of a backtrack? Pass the smelling salts!
(PS: never change, AS. )

Though why NA-Hawaii(stop)-Asia is verboten while Hawaii-NA(stop)-Asia is OK doesn't make a lot of sense, since you can basically do:
Home-Hawaii (trip 1)
Hawaii-NA Home(trip 2, stopover)
Home-Asia (trip 2)
Asia-NA Home (trip 3, stopover)
NA Home-Hawaii (trip 3)

Any idea what is the maximum number of awards (business ) which AS is allocated for each JL flight? Maximum you can search for 7 seats. So does that mean 7 ?

7 is just an AS website limitation not a JAL limit. In theory JAL could release more than 7 seats at a time. Not likely for premium cabins but maybe for economy. And, if they did, AS would be able to book a max of 7 and a time on the website (maybe more by calling in?) but once the 7 were booked you could book more in a second booking, up to the amount JAL released.

I am trying to look for JL723 from NRT to KUL on Apr 19 for J. Can see on QF and CX available but for AS its always Coach only. I wonder why. Not entirely on JL, but I am also open to try for CX using AS miles. Is Intra Asia with transit say TYO-HKG-SIN not a legal route under AS rules for CX without a stopover? There was once I saw an opening in CX side, but I called AS they said dont have. Now its gone.
