Possible AS award booking system glitch

Possible AS award booking system glitch
I was able to price this out easily on Alaska.com but unable to book due to system error. Called in many times phone agents were unable to book it either and they were saying it was because the partner flights could not be confirmed.
However, I went on to ExperFlyer and confirmed all award availability. Also searched a few other dates and routing options, same story, none of them were bookable online or over the phone. The last agent i talked to seemed to agree that this might be a system glitch. Has anyone booked a AF/KLM award to South Africa? What was your experience like?

Now that the date has changed, KLM 604 on Aug 22 is not showing as available on Alaska, Delta, or ExpertFlyer. Please check your search again.
