You get a bite to eat, a couple of drinks, a more comfortable seat, and are off the plane 5 minutes faster. Only you can do the math on whether that's >= $49.

If this was LAX, you'd also get BR access.
I'd be tempted...

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any lounge access availability granted by upfaring to F in SFO. I don't plan to check bags, plus I think I get free bags by virtue of being an AS cardholder and/or AA Plat (not sure which).

I just flew FC, SEA-SFO in a brand new Horizon E175. I love the E175 and I have to say the FC service was every bit as good as that on Alaska, actually probably a bit better!! The leg room is a little better than the old style FC configuration on AS 737's but the seat is very comfortable and the windows on the E jet are huge.
As far as a SFO lounge, on the return I departed from the Terminal 2 gates and used the Admirals Club. It is a very nice space and I enjoyed it.

Two quick questions that don't seem to have been answered above (based on a search for "bulkhead.")
First, Is there a hard divider between coach and first or can a person in the first row of premium class slide bags under the first class seats in front?
Second, on American the coach bulkhead aisle on the E75 sort of dangles out into the path of passengers due to the 1-2 >> 2-2 change. Is this the same feel on Alaska? I imagine so but thought I'd confirm.
Imagining SFO-MCI won't be a difficult upgrade but was curious nevertheless.
Thanks!

Correct. There's no under seat storage in 6B on the 175s. Legroom is infinite, and you get to trip everyone during boarding!

N626QX came in to OKC on June 28 from Brazil via FLL. If the past pattern holds true N626QX should stay in OKC for between 10 to 14 days as it get prepped for service and then head out to PDX. That means in about 2 weeks one more will be in service.
