This picture was taken yesterday while flying aboard AS64 between Juneau and Petersburg. This was also my 500th flight aboard an Alaska Airlines 737-400 and my 36th aboard N767AS. I've flown this route often - dating back to the 727 days. It's rare to have such great weather. 'Tis indeed a privilege to fly around Alaska on a sunny day!

Taken yesterday aboard AS64 shortly after takeoff from Ketchikan, bound for Seattle. Cocktails and dinner will be served shortly.

Taken just before landing in Anchorage in early January at about 2:00pm. The approach was from the west.

Fire in the sky

I took this shot at about 11:30pm on a July evening while flying between Kodiak and Anchorage aboard an ERA DHC-8-100

Denali from flight 2805 on 11/10

The mountain was out and so was the moon. As soon as we got past the Mountain, the clouds settled back in.

On a clear sunny day, flights heading down the southeast coast are amongst the most scenic in the world. Tis indeed a privilege to live in and fly around Alaska!

Not quite above the wing, but I thought it was a pretty shot - taken just before sunrise in Fairbanks for an 11:00am departure. That's right - 11:00am.
