SEA-OAK 5K Miles
 

Was just looking at some award flights and saw SEA-OAK for 5K miles. I've seen DL do similar promotions on SEA-SFO, but wasn't aware of Alaska doing this, nor had I seen it announced anywhere.

It's helpful to list a date example so folks can look around from there as a starting point. Thank you for pointing it out. Looks pretty wide spread through July at least

DL has been selling some awards for as low as 3,500 miles lately (within CA/NV/AZ). It's good to see AS bringing their award rates down on shorties as well.

I tried SEA-LAX/BUR/ONT/SAN/SFO/DEN/PDX/ANC and gave up. Only seeing this on SEA-OAK, but there's got to be something else.

SEA-OAK also has 7.5K mile prices. No 21-day adv purchase like DL or previous AS award sales.

I wonder what inventory bucket the 5K price is tied to vs the 7.5K price? Assuming they both also book out of W.

Thanks for the HU. Impressive sale. Seems like it's just OAK, not SFO or SJC. Interesting that it hasn't seemed publicized.

previous award sales have been fairly well publicized and have included this route at this price. i wonder if this is just a targeted sale to put a stick in the eye of WN and DL, or perhaps an 'error fare' of sorts. i also checked SMF and RNO, no joy there.
