Hainan awards bookable as of March 2016 - reward chart?

As per the Alaska website, Hainan awards should be bookable as of today. But I don't see a reward chart on their website for awards to Asia. Does anyone know when it will be revealed?

I think with FI it took a few hours beyond the launch for the chart to be published. Maybe mid day?

Results seem to be very reasonable for HU.

I do see search results on alaskaair.com now. Looks like USA-China comes in at 60k round trip in economy, 100k in business. Not bad at all!

You're right didn't realize Hainan was bookable online! 100K roundtrip in J is a very good value indeed, especially considering all the recent devaluations in other programs.

Hi -

The "mixed cabin itinerary" (a la Qantas) is also showing up. Caveat Emptor ...

Looks like there is a fuel surcharge. Not as bad as BA, but I'm seeing $135 YQ for LAX-CSX in J.

Not bad though and availability is excellent. I'll probably end up booking something soon.

On Hainan, PDX-SEA-PEK in J is $177 in taxes (ouch!) on Nov. 25th and only $24 on AA via DFW (all in J)....yeah, that would be a total no-brainer for me....get the AA Dreamliner from DFW, way less $$ in taxes, and an excellent Centurion Lounge in DFW.

The fuel surcharge is even higher ex-China. I'm looking at PEK-SJC and ex-China is 50,000 + $236 while ex-USA is 50,000 + $177 (both J). (Not complaining, it's still nice )

I see the award chart here now:
https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...hart-asia.aspx

Looks good, even with a fuel surcharge.

Book CX if CX works better for you. Other people like having more opportunities to find award space and schedules that work for them.

The problem is the HU routemap is not very extensive. Mostly China domestic. While with HKG you can fly to almost any Asian and South Pacific destination.

So why are you complaining when you can still book CX awards?

I am hoping HU will start to expand their international network big time.
